Track 1. State of Grace

State of Grace is Taylor Swift's first song on her new album Red. State of Grace is a confusing song. It's one of those peices of writing where the reciever decides what it's about. I think it's about her falling in love (like always) and him deceiving her and she says love just sneekds up on you, it isn't planned and when it happens it's not an easy game to play, you have to play it right and fair and that's not what the guy in this picture did. Her lyrics, Love is a ruthless game/Unless you play it good and right, says that love is like a game and if it isn't played right you won't win and you will be sad :( haha basically sums it up and still manages to sound cheezy. Hey guys!!!! So sorry I haven't posted in forever!!! But I figured I should post now because Taylor Swift has a new album out called RED. RED is a very fun filled album of Taylor Swift music!! Taylor has a nice blend of fast paced music and slower paced music all in just 16 songs and about 22 songs on her delux album. I will start doing reviews on all of her songs one by one really soon so keep checking in for new reviews and loads more Taylor to come!!!

I first heard this song at camp actually. This song was performed at the camp talent show. After that I didn't sing it because I wasn't interested in Taylor Swift. After a few years I started to become a fan and this was one of the first songs I learned. I love to sing this song and I love it. I know that writing this right after my other post (you should check it out it's very touching) this seems sad how short it is but really there is nothing more to be said. I love how in the song she says I've heard every album, listened to the radio

You belong with me....... hmmmmmmmmm, this song is a very nice song and the music video is so cute. I know I am being really shallow but I just love this song. i find that this is my song, that it was made for me. Before you read any furthure might I suggest you watch the music video because it resembles my life quite a bit.    

There now that you have watched it I can tell you how it has touched me. You see I had a nieghbour and our windows were facing eachother and he was the cutest guy you have ever seen!!!! (but don't get any ideas because he's mine!!!! >:)) Anyways I had the biggest crush on him but he was the star golf player and the head chess leader was his girlfriend. She treated him like dirt and I wanted to profess my love for him every minute of my life!

Finally the day of Prom came and he asked me if I was going but of course me being the gorgous diligent girl I am and was I said no because I had to study. Suddenly i got this huge amount of courage to announce my love for him! I got on a nice dress put on some make-up and headed to the school for the dance. on the way there I began having doubts like 'What if he doesn't like me back.' 'I'll make a fool of myself' 'HIS GIRLFRIEND WILL BE THERE!!!' But nevertheless i still kept driving. it was like I was in a trance i was numb all over and couldn't think straight (love will do that to you) but I still kept going.

Finally after what seemed like hours on end but was really only 5 minutes I pulled up in the crammed school parking lot. i guess when i got into the gym I was super nervous because I tripped over a cord, the music stopped and i fell in the punch bowl! By now everyone was staring at me. i got up stood tall, stood proud and Yelled, 'STANLEY, I LOVE YOU!' there were gasps all around.

I thought I was going to faint but then the most miraculous thing happened. Right then and there Stanley got down on one knee and said, Jordyn will you be my girlfriend? Of course I said yes. I mean come on it was a no brainer he was my dream boat, peanut butter on my jelly sand which, my gravy on the potatos, my cherry on the sundae, my man! I'm sure everyone was jealous of us. I mean come on he was the star golfer for crying out loud. 

I am proud to say that we now have been married happily for 13 years, have 11 children, and we live with our 20 cats. So when this song came out on our 9th anniversary it just fit my life like a spandex glove.

P.S (Taylor swift wrote this song from the inspiration of one of her band members who had a girlfriend that treated him like dirt.)

Mean

Oh my goodness!!!! I can't believe that i haven't written about Mean yet!!! Shame on me! :P Taylor Swift wrote mean when she was being bullied by an ex-fan online. This fan was writing horrible things about her and really hurting her feelings. Even though most of Taylor's songs are written after break-ups that she has, there is still the few songs that she writes for other reasons. In this case she writes the song Mean to let off her frustration and anger this fan put on her. Little did she know it would soon make it to the top of the music charts. She performed the song at the grammies and I find it so cool that in her song she says You can take me down with just one single blow but you don't know what you don't know someday i'll be living in a big ol' city and all your ever gonna be is mean, someday i'll be big enough so you can't hit me and all you're ever gonna be is mean. Why you gotta be so mean? She says that she will be livin' in a big city making it big and being succesful and yet that person will still be mean but it won't bring her down and stop her from being succesful. It is such a good song and I love it!!

Love Story

This song is probably me and my friends's favorite Taylor Swift song of all time!!! When we feel like singing,  this is normally the song that comes to mind. We will literaly start belting it out, and sometimes if it's pouring rain we will run out side and start singing in the church parking lot. I think that we love this song because it is a nice little romance song. I remember reading one time the back ground of this song from my Taylor Swift book. She said that she got the idea for this song in school when she was learning about Romeo and Juliet. She was very sad about the ending of the story so she decided to make her own ending. She said it was the same story but the couple ends up marrying each other. Like in the lyrics of the last chorus Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone I keep waiting for you but you never come is this in my head? I don't know what to think he knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, marry me Juliet you'll never have to be alone I love you and that's all I really know I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress It's a love story baby just say yes. I think my favorite part of that is I talked to your dad it's just so cute that the boy took the time to ask the dad first if he could marry his daughter. Especially because in the beginning the dad didn't approve. Here you can listen for your self. Maybe you'll love Love Story! ;) 

Tea Time

I know my blog is on Taylor Swift's songs but I think it is fun to show other things rather then just songs. Many of you have probably all ready seen this video but it is adorable. Many more of you have also heard of Sophia grace and Rosie from Ellen for their superb job of singing Nicki Minaj's Superbass song on Ellen. Well those two cutie patooties had tea with Taylor Swift!! It is so cute and I really think it shows how caring Taylor Swift is for people of all ages. She doesn't just act as if she has better things to do then have tea with two little girls but she definitly doesn't show it!!! She shows that she is willing to do what they want and is very thaankful to her host Sophia and Rosie.
